Summer is coming and that means sales might slow down. Don’t panic, it’s normal.
Also, don’t get wrapped up in anxiety, self doubt and thinking you are a failure and start doing all sorts of crazy things to increase your revenue.
Why summer is traditionally slow for retail:
People aren’t shopping in the summer the way they do at other parts of the year and there are no gifting holidays for months. People are spending money traveling and on experiences. People are out at all times of day. Kids are home, things are busy. You might be busy with those same things — regardless, you’ll still have work time and that time needs to be used wisely.
Rather than fight an uphill battle to increase revenue in the summer I think that we should simply maintain momentum and see the slow times as being incredibly valuable for prepping for the next season which is a huge shopping time.
