Ahh the age old question. Well, actually I thought it was widely known that YES you can leave a link to your site on Etsy. It has come to my attention that there is still some misunderstanding on the question of  ‘can you link to your own website on Etsy?’

Here’s the deal:

A couple years back, it was a big no-no to link to your own site on Etsy if you were selling the same items there. There was what was known as a two-click rule – you could link to your blog which linked to your own website, but you couldn’t link directly to another website where you sold the same items as you do in your Etsy shop. Now, it’s totally okay.

HOWEVER, you can’t incentivize shopping on another site for the same items. You can’t say “come to my shop where everything is 80% cheaper!” but you can casually link back to your website anywhere you’d like. You can also leave links to your blog, newsletter, social media, etc. All of that is just dandy.

There is even a spot on your about page where it is flat out encouraged to add your off-site links.
