5 Little Things That Make A Big Difference: For Your Shop

Here are some things you can do very easily to make a big difference in your shop! I promise they are all pretty simple, which is really what I meant when I say little.
Including a thank you note
Including a handwritten thank you note with each order is a really lovely way to be like, “Hey! I’m a human too and I love it when other humans buy my stuff and enjoy it so thanks!” It let’s people know that you are a real life person who values their business. It’s quick and simple and can be very low budget. I use post it notes and just write “Thank you so much, Customer’sNameHere. Enjoy! – Danielle” Nothing fancy, just simple and genuine.

Renewing smartly
This means renewing when you’ve noticed your shop gets the most traffic. You can use google analytics to find out when your shop gets the most traffic.  Another factor in renewing smartly is renewing more than one item at a time draws more attention to your listings.
Linking back on every page
Linking back to your storefront in each listing lowers your bounce rate and helps people, especially newbies, navigate Etsy. Make it easy for people to get back to more of you! If you are selling off Etsy, do this over there if you can! If it’s not your own website, chances are the same struggles exist for people who are new to that venue.

Having occasional sales
Besides the obvious benefits of having a sale are the benefits of having sales very infrequently. I have noticed some shops are always having sales and promos. Once you’ve gotten into this habit, people almost expect it. They might wait for the next sale because they know it’s coming. Be mindful or your sales! Don’t cheapen your work by constantly putting it on sale!

Follow up with buyers
Let your buyers know their payment has been received, it will ease their minds!
