Business in the Front, Party in the Back.

One of the things I like about embroidery is that while you’re spending all this time making sure the front looks just right… the back is wildly out of control – creating it’s own interesting composition.

Sometimes the backs look awesome – even more awesome than the fronts… and sometimes the pictures of the backs look nicer and dreamier than the fronts… all of that is completely unfair, but whatever oh well…

I like to show the backs of my hoops – not only because I think it’s a good practice to show people exactly what they are getting – but because the back really shows the work. That’s where all the story is! Plus sometimes it looks kinda cool.
