Your Handmade Brand, Made Better

Creative Entrepreneurship, DIY + Education

your handmade brand workshop | the merriweather council blog

As the summer slips into history, I find the impending fall to be quite an inspiring time. Maybe it’s all the freshly sharpened pencils or the cooler evenings, but I get the back to school feeling even as an adult. Can’t say I hate it.

I feel this is a great time of year to learn things too, actually! This is like the last opportunity before the truly crazy times set in and we are all buzzing around doing halloween-thanksgiving-christmas stuff or as I like to call it HalloGivingMas.

That’s why I’m hosting a workshop next week that I would love to have you join us for!

You may have already noticed… handmade brands are super unique. They are inherently personal, start small but can grow very big, and serve customers on a one-one level at nearly every interaction! But often times, handmade business owners are running on a tight budget with a passion for the work they love and a skill set they feel is not conducive to “branding.”

I know that was the case for me. And I know that is the case for many others.

The main problems handmade businesses face when it comes to “branding”:

  • Not understanding what branding truly is or what it means.
  • Not knowing how to bring that to fruition or having a ton of anxiety and hesitation surrounding the actions needed to take things from “shop” to full on brand experience.
  • Thinking it’s going to cost a lot of money and require a designer.

That’s what this workshop will teach you.

You will learn exactly what a brand is, what branding does and what it actually means. I’ll also prove to you that you do not need a designer, fancy tools, a degree in graphic design or to spend a lot of money in order to create a stellar brand experience.

I know from first hand experience that hiring out to a designer is a financial hurdle for a young business – I also know that if you do it yourself first, any paid ventures will be more informed and more fruitful. You know what else I know? No one can TRULY brand you and your business except YOU – visually, yes… fully, not really! In this workshop I’ll explain why and how you can make the most of your DIY efforts!

Branding doesn’t come from a logo

A great brand doesn’t come from a logo – it comes from a strategic combination of key elements. Come find out what they are and how you can establish a professional and stand out presentation for your business – at every turn or interaction! Come learn about the 6 pillars of brand experience and how to build them strong!

No more anxiety!

My workshop will teach you exactly how to create a stellar brand experience without anxiety or cashflow. You have everything you need to begin, I’ll help you uncover it and clarify it then I’ll teach you how to polish it and present it. No more wasting time, feeling discouraged, or wasting money on tools that you don’t even know how to use or what to do with them even if you did.
