Me and My Craftastic Tools

I love tools! I think this is genetic, I get it from my dad, he also loves tools. Right, mom?!

People like us get very sad without our tools…

See? No tools… sadness.

Anyway, I thought it’s be fun to show you some of my favorite tools!

Thread snip and scissors… I really love the way the scissors sound when they cut fabric! I only recently started using the thread snip, it’s so fun! And easier to trim the ends on finished hoops than with a scissor. (Is it scissor or scissors? I’m from NY but I know New Englanders have different rules about this…)

My Nikon D50 DSLR. I take all my product photos with my Nikon. I love it. I didn’t buy it specifically for product photography, I actually got it for my birthday in high school. There was a really great commercial for this model and I just had to have it. (That’s marketing…)

Embroidery hoop! Looooooove! (You saw that coming, right?) I recently bought this plastic 3 inch hoop, it’s so itty bitty, I just adore it. Before, I was doing my 3 inch wishbone embroideries in the wooden hoop, but the plastic ones hold fabric tighter for longer.

Threads! So many colors! Joy joy joy & happiness. Occasionally they are organized entirely but not usually. I just like to keep the greens in the general vicinity of each other and so on…

Other tools including larger sized embroidery hoops, tape, mini baby bitty sketchbooks, pins, jeweler’s pliers, pens, markers, fabric marker, clothespins and sharpies! Some things are just necessary and I think I’ve got them all!
